Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how TieOut TR collects, uses, and protects information when you use our Excel technical review service.
Information we collect
We collect the information needed to provide TieOut TR, including account details such as your name, email address, profile image when provided by your sign-in provider, authentication identifiers, subscription status, and basic usage information.
When you use the product, you upload Excel workbooks. We process each workbook, the findings our analysis engine produces, the generated report, and related metadata so the service can perform technical reviews and return results to you. Workbook content is analyzed in an isolated, ephemeral environment that is destroyed when the analysis finishes.
Google sign-in
If you sign in with Google, we use Google OAuth to authenticate your account. We request only the account information needed for sign-in, such as your name, email address, and profile image.
We do not use Google account data for advertising, and we do not sell Google user data. We use it to create, secure, and manage your TieOut TR account.
How we use information
We use information to operate the service, analyze uploaded workbooks, generate findings and reports, maintain account access, provide customer support, prevent abuse, improve reliability, and comply with legal obligations.
Our analysis is performed by a deterministic engine that scans your workbook. Only a compact set of findings (such as cell references and short context) is sent to our AI provider to write the final report — never your full workbook. We do not use your uploaded workbook content to train AI models, and our AI provider is contractually prohibited from training on it.
Subprocessors
TieOut TR relies on a small set of vetted subprocessors to operate the service: Vercel (application hosting and isolated compute), Neon (database), Vercel Blob (encrypted file storage), our AI provider (report generation, under a no-training agreement), and Stripe (payments). Each processes information only as needed to provide its service to TieOut TR.
Payment information is processed by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers on our servers.
File handling, retention, and deletion
Uploaded workbooks and generated reports are stored, encrypted at rest, so you can access your prior analyses. The workbook itself is only loaded into a temporary, isolated environment during an analysis; that environment is torn down as soon as the run completes.
You can delete any analysis at any time from within the product. Deleting an analysis permanently removes its report and the underlying uploaded workbook from our storage. We otherwise retain information only as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload any workbook you submit, including files that may contain confidential, personal, or regulated information.
Sharing information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers, when required by law, to protect rights and safety, in connection with a business transaction, or with your direction or consent.
If your account is provided by an organization, that organization may have access to account and usage information associated with its workspace or billing relationship.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, per-customer isolation of analysis environments, access controls, and audit logging. A SOC 2 Type II audit with an independent third party is in progress.
No online service can guarantee absolute security, so you should only upload files you are comfortable processing through a cloud service.
Your choices
You may choose not to provide certain information, but some features may not work without it. You can request access, correction, export, or deletion of personal information by contacting us through the product or at the support contact listed for TieOut TR.
You can manage billing details through the Stripe customer portal when available in your account.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date above. Continued use of TieOut TR after an update means the revised policy applies.
